Okay, so you'd like to play your DVDs on your netbook. This is actually a really good idea, especially if you're planning to use it on the move, or perhaps on a plane or long journey.
This is entirely possible, but you will need to be quite careful with which one you buy. Netbooks are usually lighter than laptops, and so usually less poweful, resulting in the possibility of stuttery images where your movie should be.
Be certain that any netbook you purchase for this purpose has a fast processor speed, and lots of memory (RAM).
It's probably not the best idea to buy the cheapest netbook you can find, if you're planning to watch all your movies on it.

You will want to make sure the netbook you buy has a relatively fast processor speed, and lots and lots of memory (RAM) for those graphic-intensive games like Call of Duty or Warcraft.
Be careful you don't buy the cheapest netbook you can find. As with everything, you get what you pay for, and you may find yourself unable to play your games on a netbook designed mainly just for e-mails and light word processing tasks.
The netbook on the left is one example of a modern, powerful netbook. If you click through to Amazon, you can read the specifications.
Netbooks first hit the scene in 2007, in response to demand for smaller, lighter, less expensive laptops, weighing in at around 1kg.
They usually don't have optical (CD/DVD) drives to cut down on weight, and have smaller screens and keyboards than their larger laptop counterparts.
Some netbooks do not use ordinary storage drives, instead opting for SSD (Solid State Drives) which are smaller, faster, and lighter still.
Netbooks are often far cheaper than laptops due to their smaller form. You can find information relating to some of the best netbooks currently available here.
